Chandon India collaborates with Manish Malhotra to launch two limited edition bottles for 2017 festive season

Monday evening saw the city’s film and fashion fraternity step out for an intimate soirée to celebrate the launch of the ‘Manish Malhotra for Chandon India’ limited edition bottles at Estella in Juhu. Co-hosted by Chandon India and Manish Malhotra, the launch event attracted a star line-up of guests, including Karan Johar, Poorna Patel, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkumar Rao, Kiara Advani, Kajal Fabiani, Kaykashan Patel, Punit Malhotra, Shamita Shetty, Amyra Dastur, Pooja Hegde amongst others.
In a first for both brands, Manish Malhotra has designed two limited edition bottles for Chandon Brut, in time for the upcoming festive season. With an iconic legacy of Hindi film costumes and an eponymous, 12-year-old couture label, Manish has been a true fashion inspiration for generations of Indians all over the world.
The collaboration presents beautiful renditions of Manish’s designs on bottles of Chandon Brut. The designs have been inspired by the gardens of Versailles and link back to Indian traditional garments (the sherwani and the saree) that are synonymous with quintessential Manish Malhtora. From luxurious gold motifs over a midnight sky background – reminiscent of the sherwani, to a spritz of pink and rose gold-stemmed florals draping the bottle – like that of a gorgeous saree – the bottles are a perfect addition to all end of year celebrations.
The décor for the launch event was a splendid translation of Chandon’s heritage combined with the motifs and inspiration for the newly launched bottles. A garden setting with a decadent array of flowers and wooden elements made for an elegant ambience.
Speaking about the launch, Stéphane de Meurville, Managing Director, Moet Hennessy India said, “My relationship with India is fairly new but we all know that India is known for its vibrant festivities, celebrations (especially Diwali and weddings) and of course, Hindi films. Manish beautifully stitches these together for Chandon. We are very happy with this collaboration and excited as this is the first for both.”

Expressing his excitement, Manish Malhotra shared, “This collaboration with Chandon promises to be an interesting one given it’s outside the realm of clothes! I do hope that India will enjoy these limited edition bottles as much as I have enjoyed designing them.”
Priced only at INR 1,450, the limited edition Chandon X Manish Malhotra bottles will be available at leading wine boutiques, hotels and restaurants in Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bengaluru, Pune, Rajasthan.
