In a true Indian wedding-sangeet style, Anita Dongre launched her flagship bridal store at High Street Phoenix, Mumbai.

Fulfilling a long time dream and driven by her creative curiosity, Anita Dongre’s flagship bridal store will house her first bridal collection under her label “Timeless”.
Complete with performances by Rajasthani folk dancers and Banjara dancers, the launch was a festive affair. Beautiful Marigold flowers decorated the store, symbolizing ceremony and celebration. In keeping with the wedding-sangeet theme of the evening, the guests were greeted with Mogra wristbands at the entrance. While enjoying the appetizers and sipping on wines, the guests were seen dancing to the traditional beats of dhols and tutari’s.
Amongst those who came to congratulate Anita Dongre on this special occasion were spotted Dia Mirza, Isha Koppikar with husband Timmy Narang, Shabana Azmi, Sanjay with wife Ambika Suri, Tisca Chopra, Sangeeta Bijlani, Namrata Barua Shroff, Gayatri and Atul Ruia, Monica Vazirali, Sharon Prabhakar, Onir, Narendra Kumar, Kadambari Lakhani, Nachiket Barve, Rina Shah, Nisha Javeri amongst others.
The opulent bridal line includes lehengas, sarees, cocktail gowns, Indian suits for women, and Sherwanis, Jodhpuris, silk kurtas for men. The textiles are inspired by the weaves of Benares and the handwork of Rajasthani craftsmen. Anita Dongre is setting a new benchmark in bridal luxury with exquisitely hand-woven textiles of Varanasi with Gota Patti work done by artisans from Jaipur.
The three-storey full service Anita Dongre bridal boutique at High Street Phoenix offers bespoke service and has an enclosed space for the bride, where she can choose from various swatches and styles.
On this milestone, Anita Dongre says, “I am thrilled to launch this line because it’s been a long dream for me to explore bridal wear. I love design, and I love the beauty each blushing bride exudes, and I think it is very essential that she is content with her sartorial choices for her special wedding days. She should not be weighed down with heavy lehengas, but should be able to have a good time and dance at her wedding.”
