Born and brought up in Paris, Srimoyi has over 15 years of communications expertise spanning across Paris, New York and Mumbai. She is passionate about helping brandsbuild their
image, support their growth through the creation and execution of strategic and creative marketing / communications programs. Combining PR Agency and in-house experience with a focus on corporate and lifestyle areas, Srimoyi’s areas of expertise include Public Relations, Brand Management, Strategic Counsel, and Event Planning. In April 2006, Srimoyi co-founded Peepul PR in New York and has extended the company’s activities in Mumbai since January 2008. Peepul Consulting is a boutique agency dedicated to brand management and PR in the lifestyle and fashion space. Prior to founding Peepul, Srimoyi headed communications and public affairs for Hampshire Hotels & Resorts, a hospitality group headed by the Chatwal family in New York. Srimoyi was responsible for all communications in two major areas worldwide-Hospitality as well as Corporate and Political Affairs. She piloted PR which included openings and on going awareness for the Night Hotel, the Dream Hotel, Chopra Center & Spa and three restaurants. On the political side she managed Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s visit to India, a press campaign for the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation for the HIV/AIDS Initiative, and numerous fundraisers. Srimoyi worked in PR in Paris in corporate and new media for over 7 years in France before moving to the US in 2002.

With nearly 18 years of professional experience including 9 years in PR & marketing, Shakeel has built excellent relationships in Mumbai and Delhi and has well established contacts with some of the city’s most respected influencers and media champions. After finishing college in the U.S., Shakeel’s career has spanned various industries from banking and finance, design and PR.
Over the course of his working life, Shakeel has always thrived at client management and communications with several established Indian and international hospitality, fashion, lifestyle and corporate brands to the likes of Ensemble, Le Mill, Tara Jewels, Olive Bar & Kitchen, Blue Frog, Virtuos Retail, Vu Technologies Chandon, Shangri-La, Gucci, Lamborghini amongst others.
Business Head, DELHI
A Bombay-ite, Deepika began her career in PR and Communications 10 years ago and brings with her experience from across both sides of the fence – as a consultant publicist as well as an in-house communications manager. Over the years, she has planned and executed PR programmes across the hospitality, fashion and lifestyle, social media and corporate sectors. Her core expertise lies in media and public relations, marketing communications, content development and creation and reputation management.
Deepika’s tryst with communications began right after completing her higher education, as Public Relations Coordinator for Le Royal Meridien Mumbai, where she learnt the ropes on both lifestyle and corporate PR, with a focus on conversations for the property’s food and beverage outlets and management profiling. She followed this up with a four-year stint on the agency side with PR Pundit, spear-heading and working on campaigns for Moët Hennessy India, Gucci, MySpace, Lindt Swiss Chocolates, Accor Hospitality and Park Hyatt Resort & Spa, Fortune India to name a few. Towards the end of her tenure there, Deepika also came to be responsible for Administration and New Business Development for the agency’s branch in Mumbai. This was followed by a serendipitous offer to work in-house at Moët Hennessy India, where Deepika managed PR, communications and social media for the company’s iconic wines and spirits portfolio. As part of the MH team, Deepika actively interacted with the respective Maisons to not only understand strategy, but also share creative inputs for programmes and platforms that could generate saliency in India. Besides this, Deepika was responsible for the ideation and execution of quarterly communications plans in tandem with the PR and digital agencies. At MH, Deepika was also part of the core Marketing team that introduced the company’s first ‘Made in India’ sparkling wine – Chandon.
A firm believer that Communications and PR are as much about analytical thought as they are about creativity, Deepika sees her role evolving into that of a marketing strategist.Deepika holds a Masters in Business Administration in Advertising from Ohio Universtity. A lover of words and languages, Deepika speaks five Indian languages and basic German.
Content Director, Peepul – Mumbai
Rachana will provide strategic guidance, consulting and content generation on the Digital & Social media content needs for Peepul clients and provide inputs on brand marketing and PR recommendations. She is a graduate of Asian College of Journalism and started her career in writing with JAM Magazine. In 2006 she joined The Indian Express newspaper in Mumbai covering fashion, food and lifestyle for them. After moving on to Mint newspaper’s weekend lifestyle supplement Lounge, she continued to write on the same beats. Besides reviewing restaurants and managing the style section she also styled fashion cover shoots for the magazine, including their annual swimwear spread. After more than three years at Lounge Rachana went on to pursue a Masters in Fashion Business Management in London, where she created a live marketing project for British footwear brand Kat Maconie that won her an internship with the designer. She also worked in retail at the premium French label Paul & Joe’s posh Knightsbridge address.
While researching sustainable and eco-fashion practices in fashion for her dissertation at University, she was inspired her to start her own online magazine and “re-commerce” venture back home in Mumbai called Fuffabulous (www.fuffabulous.com). Fuffabulous aims to reduce fashion waste through selling pre-loved fashion, while also sharing the proceeds with a worthy cause to create a cycle of fashion joy. She recently (in association with Tips Industries and Bling Entertainment Solutions), raised funds for the non-profit organisation ‘In Defence of Animals’ through a film and celebrity pre-owned fashion collaboration sale event. She also continues to write on fashion and lifestyle for various publications.

Mehezabin Sarela an Event Director with Peepul Consulting comes with a rich work experience of over 7 years. With an expertise in the fashion and lifestyle event marketing space, she began her career with celebrity endorsements and marketing in 2005 at Mahesh Bhupathi’s Globosport and went on to be one of the key individuals to help launch the celebrity management business at KWAN (now CAA KWAN).
Established networks with celebrities, advertising and digital agencies, film production houses, fashion designers/stylists and photographers she has a 360 degree approach to any brand launch and has a deep understanding of how brands and their marketing initiatives function. Kiehl’s, GAS, Forevermark, John Galliano Eyewear, Sofitel, GAS, FCUK, Nokia, PepsiCo, L’Oreal, Jean Clause Biguine Salon are few of the brands she has worked closely with. Her keen eye for detail, visual aesthetics and know how of what is impactful for the audiences ensures every event is a memorable one.
Event & Sales Manager, Peepul – New York
Sadia Majeed is responsible for handling Trunk Shows at Peepul New York. She started her career specializing in sales in 2006. Over the past 7 years, Sadia has played her strengths in becoming an integral part of NYC’s first Indian contemporary boutique, Indomix. She was responsible handling buying for designers to curating trunk shows at their edgy Mulberry Street location, styling clients and overall managing sales for the Indomix’s online shop.
Since then, Sadia has played an essential role in maintaining brand presence for Payal Singhal and Namrata Joshipura through independent trunk shows and trade shows like Coterie and Designers & Agents. Most recently, she spearheads street style photography at Fashion Loyal, a community for fashion brands showcased through the Big Apple’s fashionista. Sadia has a knack for understanding Indian contemporary fashion brands through a creative eye for styling and increasing sales for Peepul clients.

Neerja Patel is our consultant partner with Peepul NY. Neerja will be responsible for securing national and regional press for our North America based clients, writing and distributing press release, managing journalist and blogger relationships and managing and executing special events.
Neerja Patel is the founder of NeerjaPR. She began her PR and Marketing career working with Sahara Television in New York City. After gaining years of experience in the South Asian media industry and managing various events, she launched Neerja Public Relations. Her strong relationships with the South Asian media platform has helped secure clients in various industries and enabled them to reach their ideal target markets. Neerja PR’s extensive list of work includes brand awareness campaigns for Lufthansa Airlines and Bharat Matrimony, Non Profit fundraiser with Fashion Designers Naeem Khan and Betsey Johnson, Stage shows for Rahat Fateh Ali, Kailash Kher, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Manjuu Rangarajan runs Bangalore services for Peepul Consulting. She has spent about 15 years in Media and PR. Born and brought up in Mumbai, Fashion and Lifestyle has always been her forte all through her journey in space selling. She started her career with Magna Publishing, post which she moved to Gentleman magazine, jumped to Merchant Media later and Man’s World. She was the core team member at the much talked about “Medianet” department at Times of India – where she worked for Bombay Times in conjunction with various PR agencies in Mumbai. After 3 years of rich experience at Medianet, she moved to BIG 92.7 FM (pre launch) again core team member and stayed there till the launch of the station.
She realized that PR was her true calling and that’s when she founded her own PR Company “Wow factor Communications” and at wow factor have handled many fashion and lifestyle clients like Samsonite, American Tourister, Baggit, Spykar, OYO, Designer Archana Kochhar, Actor Madhavan and also couple of Prakash Jha films.
